The highest mountain in Austria is the Grossglockner. It is located on the border of Carinthia and Tyrol.
At the age of 12 I saw this imposant mountain for the first time.
Years later I went back there with my son. Guess what his age was then? Yes! Also 12! He was as impressed as I was at the time and is glad I showed it to him.
Unfortunately, the glacier has melted a lot over the years and continues to do so.
However, this is still a great photo to remember our visit together. The mountain peaks contrast beautifully against the blue sky.
